Murrells Inlet, SC—Carolina OB/GYN has announced the addition of Melissa Moore, MD, FACOG.
Dr. Moore, is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia, graduated Suma Cum Laude from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. She earned her postgraduate degree (MD) at Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville, Florida where she also completed her residency in OB/GYN.
Dr. Moore, a fellow in the College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, is a certified lactation specialist. She has completed research in the areas of C-section delivery, endometriosis, and the removal of ovarian masses during pregnancy.
Prior to joining Carolina OB/GYN, Dr. Moore was employed by the Howard Center for Women’s Health at the Tift (Tifton, GA) Regional Health System, a United Obstetrics and Gynecology practice. There, she served as Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and held positions on the Perinatal Review Committee, and the Clinical Informatics Committee. From 2017-2019 she served as Clinical Associate Professor at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University.

Dr. Moore will begin seeing patients the week of May 13 at Carolina OB/GYN’s newest office located in the Azalea Lakes Medical Center at 3515 Caduceus Drive, Suite B, Myrtle Beach. Appointments may be made by calling 843-651-6525.
