Dr. Gayle Richmond
Dr. Gayle Richmond is the founding and managing partner of Carolina OB/GYN, a practice she established in 1988. Dr. Richmond currently serves as Chief of the Medical Staff of Tidelands Health and is a member of their Board of Trustees.
Dr. Cynthia Bindner
Dr. Cynthia Bindner joined the practice in 1992, and along with Dr. Richmond formed what is today Carolina OB/GYN. This skilled surgeon, researcher, and clinician has been providing gynecological care to the women of Georgetown and Horry Counties for over two decades.
Dr. Lisa Maselli
Dr. Lisa Maselli joined Carolina OB/GYN in 2000. Dr. Maselli is the co-chair of both the Women & Children’s Service Line and the Perinatal Improvement Committee for Tidelands Health. She was elected Chief of Surgery for Tidelands Health System in August 2019.
Dr. Valerie Lasry
Dr. Valerie Lasry joined Carolina OB/GYN in 2005. Along with Dr. Richmond, she founded SmartLipo™ MD. Dr. Lasry enjoys participating in the care of both pregnant and GYN patients. Laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery are her preferred approach to gynecological surgery.
Dr. Melissa Moore
Dr. Melissa Moore joined Carolina OB/GYN in 2019. Her special interest is the management of pelvic pain and urinary incontinence. She treats metabolic and endocrine disorders with a focus on polycystic ovarian syndrome and infertility, and provides hormone replacement therapy for peri/postmenopausal patients.
Dr. Andrea Richmond-Mart
Dr. Andrea Richmond-Mart joined Carolina OB/GYN in 2020. Her special interests include minimally invasive and robotic surgery, contraception, abnormal uterine bleeding, and endometriosis. She cares for patients of all ages.
Anne Marie Vierela,
Anne Marie Vierela, CNM, MSN, has been associated with Carolina OB/GYN since 2011. Passionate about Centering Pregnancy care, she was responsible for introducing Centering to the practice. With nearly 30 years of OB experience, she has attended close to 2,000 births.
Kimberly Johansen, CNM, MSN, joined Carolina OB/GYN in September 2022. With over 25 years of experience in women’s and neonatal healthcare, she has participated in more than 1,200 deliveries. Kim is a staunch believer in shared decision making between provider and patient.
