
Dr. Melissa Moore joined Carolina OB/GYN in 2019. Dr. Moore has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery and surgery for the management of pelvic pain and urinary incontinence. She enjoys treating metabolic and endocrine disorders with a focus on polycystic ovarian syndrome and infertility. Hormone replacement therapy for peri/postmenopausal patients is a big part of her practice.
She is a graduate of Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama and the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. She completed her residency at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville, Florida. She earned the designation of Certified Lactation Counselor in 2014 and is a Fellow in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG). She is certified through the American Board of OB/GYN (ABOG).
Prior to joining Carolina OB/GYN, Dr. Moore served as the OBGYN Department Chair for Tift Regional Medical Center where she was instrumental in helping the Center achieve the Baby Friendly Certification. In addition, she was a Clinical Associate Professor for the Medical College of Georgia.

Dr. Moore grew up in South Georgia. She met and married her husband, a South Carolina native, and they have a young son.
